Ehinger, president, Industrial Forestry assoc iation, in announcing new tree farm certifications. He added that tree farmers pay taxes each year not only on their land but also on all timber 12 inches or over in diameter. Three tree farms totaling 2,979 acres in one Washington and two Oregon counties were approved by the IFA board. In addition, five tree farm certificates were canceled and one tree farm certificate was trans ferred to a new owner. One of the farms, Tannenbaum Acres, is owned by Russell and Doris Pierson and is located in Columbia county.
